Biography
My name is Kevin Huck. I am the Behavior strategist here at Moulton. I graduated from East High School here in Des Moines and earned a degree from Iowa State University in elementary education. I have spent nearly eighteen years teaching and coaching in Missouri. I also earned a master’s degree in education during my time in Missouri. I am very happy to be back home in Des Moines and thrilled to be part of such a wonderful group of educators here at Moulton Elementary School. I consider it a privilege to help all of our students become great citizens and lifelong learners.

Biography
I was born and raised in the metropolis city of Fairmont, Minnesota and came to Des Moines in 1995 to attend Grand View College (now University). During my time there I played baseball and soccer for the Vikings and also was part of the Drake University’s hockey team. I graduated from Grand View in 1999 with a major in Mathematics and Secondary Education.
Right out of college I received a position for a long-term substitute at Roosevelt High School where I taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. In 2000 I was hired to teach 6th grade mathematics at Callanan Middle School. After being there four years, I decided I wanted to go back to high school and Roosevelt had a position, so I taught Algebra 1 there from 2004-2008. In 2008 I decided I wanted to help student prepare for high school as I saw quite a few students coming not ready. I went back to Callanan and taught 8th grade Mathematics and Algebra 1.
In 2012 I decided to go back to school at Drake University to work on my Master’s in Educational Leadership which I completed this last May. Last year I decided to leave Callanan and focus on Leadership roles, so I went to Goodrell Middle School as the Behavior Strategist. Now this year I am fortunate to be here at Moulton Elementary and I am excited to work with the staff, parents, students, and community of Moulton.
Let’s have a GREAT 2014-2015 school year!!!!
